Lindsay Jones

A love of languages, a penchant for problem-solving and an aptitude for working with words drew me towards a career in translation. After gaining a first-class BA Modern Languages degree from the University of Sheffield, with a focus on French, German, Swedish and Luxembourg Studies, I decided to hone my skills by completing an MA in Translation Studies at the University of Birmingham and picking up experience in voluntary translation on the side. I then joined AST as a freshly graduated translator in October 2009 and have not looked back since. The experience I have built up across various languages and a wide range of subjects have made me a versatile and reliable translator and proofreader, and I also have the opportunity to pass on my knowledge and skills by managing and mentoring junior members of our in-house team.
