Lois Sourbutts

I recently joined AST in May 2026 as Junior Project Manager. I’ve always found learning languages really fun, which led me to study Modern Languages and Cultures (German and Arabic) at Durham University and then complete my MA in Professional Translation at Swansea University. During my Masters I discovered the career path of Translation Project Management, which interested me because it allowed me to combine my skills as a linguist with my organisational skills while still being directly involved in the language services industry. I’m excited to gain more experience and continue to challenge myself in my new role here. Outside of work, I enjoy swimming, reading and painting as well as spending time in nature.
